Date - 1952
Military Light-Heavyweight Champion according to the press notes on the back.
"Just a note for your information - the above mentioned photo is of Lieutenant (later Major) Hoppe of the Duke of Wellington's Regiment of the British Army. He was my company commander in the 1970s and used to offer soldiers who had been brought before him on disciplinary matters the choice of either accepting punishment by Army Regulations or go a round of boxing with him outside! I don't know anyone foolish enough to have taken him up on the latter offer!!" - (Thanks to B. Mortimer for the above contribution)
