1951 Boxing RAY FAMECHON Vintage Photograph FRENCH FEATHERWEIGHT CONTENDER
Subject(s) - Ray Famechon

Date - 1951

Famechon pleads his case to the Cincinnati Athletic Commission, after being controversially TKO'd by Eddie Burgin in the 2nd round at Cincinnati Gardens. In what appears to have been a language translation issue, the French fighter pleaded with the referee "No, No Quit", after getting knocked down by Burgin. The Referee misinterpreted as Famechon wanting to stop the fight. Manager Lew Burston and chairman commissioner Paul Cain also pictured.
