A fun fight card for the hardcore boxing fan and historian.

ROBIN BLAKE - ... was a popular Texas Lightweight who fought and sometimes beat many of the top fighters of his day. Once fought Jimmy Paul for the IBF World Lightweight Title, and then in his next bout, went a tough 10 rounds with a young up and coming Meldrick Taylor.

EDWIN CURET ... was a tough Lightweight gatekeeper out of Chelsea, Massachusetts, who went the distance with many top fighters, champs and future HOF'ers. He was the first boxer to beat Micky Ward in what can only be assumed was an Atlantic City slugfest in 1987.

ROBBIE SIMS ... was the half-brother of Marvin Hagler and a pretty good boxer in his own right. 1st an amateur star who beat future stars Davey Moore and Marlon Starling. Then an accomplished pro who once knocked out a young Iran Barkley and won a decision against the great Roberto Duran in 1986. Never quite won a World Title but gave lots of Champs and Future HOF'ers great fights.

RICKEY WOMACK - I will leave it up to you to look up his sad history. A Light Heavyweight amateur superstar. Beat Evander Holyfield several times before Holyfield beat him in the Olympic Box-Offs for a spot on the 1984 Olympic Boxing Team.

This poster features his debut fight against Sonny Jones, which was a draw. He never lost or drew again. He was a member of Emanuel Steward's Kronk Boxing Team. Unfortunately, bad choices and tragedy overshadowed the rest of his life and career.
