Item Description

Group photo at Van Courtland Park in the Bronx section of New York City. The park had been turned into a military training ground during the World War I era.

It looks like a large group of boxers are visiting the soldiers and gathered for this group shot.

Included are: Harry Wills (standing back row), Battling Kiddy (the black boxer near the center I believe), Mike O'Dowd (sitting, 4th from right). Sitting 2nd from right appears to be Jack Britton, though I'm not positive. Also lots of other familiar faces scattered throughout.
